From an early love of woodworking to a growing Norfolk workshop, The Grain Company has always been about making useful furniture with character.
Our story
How we began…
A love of woodworking has been there from the beginning. At just 12 years old, Jacob started Vintage Valentine, making handcrafted wooden gifts and ornaments to sell at local craft fairs.
He always wanted to build a business of his own and planned to study fine furniture-making at university. When COVID changed that route, he decided to put the idea into practice instead. In November 2020, The Grain Company began as a small workshop operation and quickly found customers looking for furniture with real character.
Who we are…
Today, The Grain Company is still a small, independent Norfolk workshop. We make furniture, steelwork and cabinetry with an emphasis on quality, thoughtful design and a personal service.
Whether you choose one of our existing pieces or ask us to adapt something for your space, you can discuss the details directly with the people making it. For suitable bespoke projects, we can also prepare CAD drawings so you can see how the finished piece will look before manufacture begins.
